Maybe the aeroFit of our summer-weight RS series spoiled us, but we find the bulky, ill-fitting jackets available for winter cycling unacceptable. Realizing our race-fit ambitions required an all-new line of warm and weatherproof softshells, we developed the SPHERE series, which replace our Stratagon line. Various weights of SPHERE panels arrayed throughout the jacket's body create a winter-worthy second skin that responds to exertion and motion by breathing and regulating internal temperature. During easy efforts, the jacket warms; as effort ramps up, so does breathability and ventilation, maintaining a comfortable, dry microclimate, regardless of exertion and the external conditions. The johDah reacts to you like a literal second skin, as though it's an actual part of your body. The aeroFit tailoring does nothing to disabuse you of that impression. SPHERE membranes carry the bulk of duties with waterproof, windproof panels of varying insulation levels and stretch, but a key supporting cast drawing from our OSMOS thermal line and the 3L ZigZaggy Foam ensure breathable warmth in areas that aren't exposed to the elements. Our aeroFit is mapped to WorldTour bodies for the most aerodynamic, aggressive fit we've ever produced—restrictive on foot, but second-skin sleek in the saddle. Through the magic of textile engineering and targeted paneling, we've ensured that shielding against the elements no longer means sloppy tailoring.

Rounding off this jacket in pursuit of an ergonomic fit and improved breathability, they employed their race-proven RX fabric on the back and underarms.

We engineered the MILLE GT Winter Jacket EVO for the committed rider who prefers to ride outdoors year-round, with strategically placed textiles optimized not only for protection and comfort in cold winter conditions, but also for the forward body position on the road bike. The front panel is constructed using our NEOS MEDIUM, which is a 3L softshell with PU bonded membrane. Highly breathable, waterproof, insulating, and 100% windproof, this flexible house-developed textile ensures your core stays fully protected. The tops of the arms and upper back are made with NEOS LIGHT, which scales back insulation in favor of boosted breathability and lower weight. And to keep you from overheating as your effort levels rise, the underarms and back use our fleece-backed RX material. The single front panel is merged with raglan cut sleeves, with a stitch line that continues up to the collar for a full range of motion in the saddle. The classic, regularFit is trim, while still accommodating additional layers.

In addition to being a touch more watertight, it also adds increased durability to this ASSOS-exclusive ultrathin softshell. We also removed the rear pocket slots, as the contents of your pockets are easily reached by unzipping the double-slider zipper from the bottom. This, in conjunction with the new stitchless reflective strip down the center of the back, ensures there are no points of water ingress along the back. Our patented Diffusor vents at the shoulders actively regulate body temperature when you're digging deep in the drops and unzipping isn't a viable option. When we write "regulate," we don't just mean by warming—when exertion ramps up, it's easy to overheat, even in the cold, so our Diffusor tech shuttles air through to vent body heat and internal moisture as exhaust when needed. Insulation and breathability wrap your core courtesy of the sandwich of our Rhombus and Push Pull textiles, while the lighter, more elastic SONIC-SN extends thermal protection the length of your arms with a soft, body-mapping ribbed texture. Our aeroFit is an aggressive, compressive, race-tuned cut, and it's complemented here with a ribbed rear hem that dials the waist fit and raw-cut, silicone-grip cuffs.
