      Comments:

This bike is so light that it almost flies. I can't believe how fast it is downhill and how easy it it to ride uphill. I wondered if I was spending money unwisely as I am no Lance Armstrong, but this is one of those times when spending money on quality pays off in performance, speed, comfort and distance.

        Comments:

This bike is unreal. It may not be Italian, but they use US Defense grade carbon in the frame(raw material not legal for export), so the Italians could not build this good of a bike even if they had the engineers that Trek has. This frame/fork/seat mast combo are ridiculously light. Stock 7900 grouppo, aluminum bars and stem, aluminum clincher wheels and relatively heavy seat are well under 15lbs with pedals. Not a hint of flex in this frame, the bars feel directly connected to the cranks and rear wheel making out of the saddle sprinting almost unreal. The fork is incredible, even though Trek has not really changed their geometry the added front end stiffness makes this bike run circles around my previous bike, a Time VXRS Ulteam. This bike really will make you faster, both uphill and downhill. Plus the custom paint options in the Project One program have the best finish quality of any bike I have ever owned. Just go find a Trek demo day or ask your dealer for a test ride.

This is a fast responsive state of the art machine, in an industry that has been revolutionized by new material and advanced engineering. The Madone 6.5 does everthing a high end racing bike is supposed to. Light resposive fast. What I didn't understand was how wonderful the handling is on fast decents. If you like to go fast, this is the bike for you.

              Comments:

Could not be happier than I am with my Madone 6.5. I'm almost 45, and have been riding/racing a Trek Pilot for the last three years. Although the Pilot was comfortable, the handling and weight were not what I needed as I became more competitive with my riding. The Madone 6.5 is both comfortable AND fast/light/stiff. BRAVO TREK!!!
