With six years of technology developments and Assos’ most advanced race insert to date, the Equipe RS Bib Shorts S9 forges new ground, bringing unmatched stability and comfort to your most demanding speed-focused applications. These bibs employ A-Lock Engineering, Assos' new bracing system, comprising proprietary textiles and technologies working together to stabilize the shorts and secure the insert in place. The S9 generation incorporates just two panels, with a primary “butterfly” panel fully wrapping the legs and converging in the rear to form the ergoBox structure. This design effectively frames the insert in place and provides you with an ultra-comfortable wrap on your legs using our Type 441 textile, developed specifically for compressive hold and silky comfort. From here they added their unique rollBar, which mimics a race car’s anti-sway bar by using the bib straps to stabilize the insert as your weight transfers from left to right while cornering. Each strap is sewn into the seam directly above the insert, ensuring it’s under pre-loaded tension at all times. The bib straps have also been redesigned using calibrated stretch throughout, with the rear section using a single section of elastic material—folded over on itself—forming an A-frame in the back. It delivers limited vertical stretch in order to add further stability. In the front, the straps are made of a more flexible material, with an antibacterial carbon weave, to wick moisture and lay flat. Assos also focused on a single insert platform, which allowed the freedom to reassess what is most crucial to a streamlined, race-spec insert. They reduced the overall footprint to shed additional weight, employed superAir microShock foam with 3D waffle, incorporated the kraterCooler system to increase airflow up front, and took additional measures to anchor the insert at the rear with a patented horizontal stabilizer. A dedicated all-mountain winter riding pant that combines winterproof fabrics, function-driven details, and trail-tuned fit to keep you performing at your optimum in harsh, cold riding conditions. Until now there was little chance of finding an off-road riding pant that promised a warm, dry lower half and promoted a full range of motion during the toughest months of the year. We changed that. We borrowed a few design elements from our Cargo Shorts, like the smooth-wrap waist design for a comfortable fit that's free of clunky fasteners. On this version we made it slightly taller and added a silicone gripper at the rear to keep the pants securely in place. The pants are trim and fitted with a tapered hem—but loose enough to provide a full range of motion. We finished them off with two zippered thigh pockets, abrasion-resistant paneling at the hem, and a water-repellent treatment throughout. Our flexible RX EVO+ makes up the majority of the paneling. Its brushed warp-knit features an asymmetrical stretch, adds high levels of insulation, and offers fleecy comfort against the skin. Added to the saddle area and inner leg panels along the hem, we applied our membrane-backed NEOS MILD, ensuring water, mud, wheel spray, and cold air is properly deflected. The pants' trailFit follows the body's natural motions in, and out, of the saddle —trim, but never restrictive. Their AZPtech (abdomZeroPressure) waist construction, takes that concept even further with a soft, highly elastic material to further improve comfort and hold at the waist, minus any pressure or pinching.

Warmth, flexibility, protection, and support topped our list of must-haves when we began developing the Winter Bib Tights, and each attribute needed to pair with our refined, low-bulk regularFit platform. We made them lightly compressive where they need to be, but not as tight as our racingFit design. The fabric panels flex with each pedal stroke, as they're both pre-shaped and sewn to fully wrap and support the upper leg muscles, knees, and calves while in motion. RX Heavy makes up the majority of the paneling. This brushed warp-knit fabric is a beefed-up version of our workhorse RX, featuring an ECO water-repellent treatment for further protection from light precipitation. Its lighter-weight sibling, RX Light, is an asymmetrical-stretch warp-knit fabric that provides light insulation and boosts comfort in high-flex areas. The fit falls into our regularFit category, optimized for total comfort in the riding position, and with a more relaxed cut than our second skin racingFit.
