These shorts are built for cyclists committed to the racing and training program, regardless of falling temperatures. BEHIND THE PRODUCT These bib shorts are appropriate for cooler temperatures that don’t yet warrant knee or full-leg coverage. The thermal insulation is reinforced with inclusions (the twinDeck construction on the crotch panel) and omissions (we left out the kraterCooler chamois ventilation in that same panel) designed to preserve core warmth without providing too much coverage. The balance of warmth and breathability recommend these shorts for tempo efforts and base miles in cool temperatures, and the addition of warmers—secured with the shorts’ Ultralight Leg Grippers—lets them follow the mercury still further down the thermometer.

With the 160-gram Equipe RSR Bib Shorts S9, Assos started from scratch and re-engineered the platform as a whole—and came away with the lightest, most comfortable race-spec bib shorts to ever leave their laboratory. These bibs are made with Type 701kompressor material that delivers the perfect combination of compressive hold, durability, soft hand-feel, and the lowest weight possible. In other words, the material becomes your second skin, delivering phenomenal structural hold, breathability, and a silky smooth, uninterrupted wrap along the low back and thighs. Assos' new bracing system works together to stabilize the shorts and secure the insert in place. The S9 generation incorporates just two panels, with a primary “butterfly” panel fully wrapping the legs and converging in the rear to form the ergoBox structure. This design effectively frames the insert in place and provides you with an ultra-comfortable wrap that works in conjunction with Type 701 material for the best fit ever produced. The bib straps have also been redesigned using calibrated stretch throughout, with the rear section using a single section of elastic material—folded over on itself—forming an A-frame in the back. It delivers limited vertical stretch in order to add further stability. In the front, the straps are made of a more flexible material, with an antibacterial carbon weave, to lay flat and wick moisture. Assos also focused on a single insert platform, which allowed the freedom to reassess what is most crucial to a streamlined, race-spec insert. They reduced the overall footprint to shed additional weight, employed superAir microShock foam with 3D waffle, incorporated the kraterCooler system to increase airflow up front, and took additional measures to anchor the insert at the rear with a patented horizontal stabilizer. The result? Total ASSOS comfort you’ve come to know and trust, stabilized more than ever.

Engineered specifically for full-gas efforts in the hottest conditions—indoors and out—the 120-gram SUPERLÉGER is built on our S9 platform using hyperlight textiles for unmatched stability and boosted ventilation. BEHIND THE PRODUCT To not only reduce weight, but also increase rider comfort and support during the hottest racing days and flat-out indoor training sessions. We reduced the number of seams and replaced current panels’ textiles with hyperlight, more breathable materials to further reduce friction and keep the leg muscles cooler and fresher, for longer durations.

BEHIND THE PRODUCT The MILLE GT Ultraz Winter Bib Tights are constructed with an arsenal of winterproof textiles to deliver unmatched levels of insulation, breathability, and weather resistance. We built upon the highly insulating platform that’s used in our standard Winter Bib Tights but then added a second layer to the exterior for more protection. Since weather can come from all sides, we charted 360º protection and comfort to ensure that the element-facing section of your legs and glutes remains protected from snow, rain, wind, and low temperatures, while the backs of the legs benefit from added breathability and comfort in this high-flex zone. To boost the Ultraz Bib Tights’ performance, we’ve pre-shaped and sewn the fabric panels to fully wrap and support the upper leg muscles, knees, and calves while in motion, where they flex with each pedal stroke.

With double-layer protection throughout, these stand in as our most protective bib tights. For the most demanding winter conditions that relegate all but the most dedicated riders back indoors, the Bonkas are purpose-built to thrive. We began with the same highly insulating brushed-back RX Heavy that’s used in our Winter Bib Tights, but we applied a double-layer construction with our acclaimed 2L Stratagon Ultra around the knees, hips, and thighs for added protection, ensuring the front half of your lower body remains fully protected from sleet, road spray, biting winds, and low temperatures. As with the Winter Bib Tights, RX Light makes up the backs of the legs for added breathability in this high-flex region. The fit of the Bonkas falls into our racingFit category, which means they’re moderately compressive with their double-layer design. The fabric panels flex with each pedal stroke, as they’re both pre-shaped and sewn to fully wrap and support the upper leg muscles, knees, and calves while in motion. The insert is our CENTO EVO, featuring 10mm of plush memory foam for dependable comfort on every ride.

GTO marks the pinnacle of the Total Comfort MILLE GT line - spiritual successor to the iconic CENTO and Campionissimo Bib Shorts. It features the plushest, most responsive and breathable ASSOS insert to date, wrapped in our new frictionless, wrinkle-free paneling. The GTO has two leg lengths: STANDARD and LONG (+3cm vs standard).
